Vijay K. Kuchroo, DVM, PhD, Director

 Dr. Vijay Kuchroo is the Founding Director of the Evergrande Center for Immunologic Diseases. He is the Samuel L. Wasserstrom Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, Senior Scientist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Co-Director of the Center for Infection and Immunity, Brigham Research Institutes, Boston. He is also an Associate Member at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. He obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine in Hisar, India. Subsequently, he specialized in pathology at the University of Queensland in Australia where he obtained a Ph.D. in 1985.

Arlene H. Sharpe, MD, PhD, Co-Director

George Fabyan Professor of Comparative Pathology, Harvard Medical School

Dr. Arlene Shape is the Co-Director of the Evergrande Center for Immunologic Diseases. She is the George Fabyan Professor of Comparative Pathology, Head of the Division of Immunology in the Department of Microbiology and Immunobiology, and Co-Director of the Harvard Institute of Translational Immunology at Harvard Medical School. She is also a member of the Department of Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Associate Member at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Dr. Sharpe earned her MD and PhD degrees from Harvard Medical School, and completed her residency training in Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
